Welcome to Bundle Bumps.
This blog is my personal chronicle of trying to conceive a bun in the oven through having a bundle of joy. Problem is, I'm fighting infertility.

Apple-Berry Breeze Smoothie Recipe

I dare you to make this smoothie and not tell me how heavenly it is!  And it's so easy to make with only four ingredients, I named it Apple-Berry Breeze.  Yeah yeah, the name may be a little cliche, but I like the sound of it.  And don't even get me started on how easy this smoothie will be for you to digest (*cough* it's loaded with fiber) and absorb all the nutrients.

I deliver this recipe to you in photo form.  Because, honestly, who doesn't love photos?

Mmm Apple-Berry Smoothie

Things you will need

For One 16 oz. Smoothie You Will Need:

Blender

Measuring cup (not crucial, but it helps get the ratios right)

1 medium apple, sliced and cored

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup of yogurt (I don't know how it got squeezed out of the photo.  I used strawberry flavored.)

1/2 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries

A pretty glass and a straw

Let's get started!

Add 2-3 apple slices

1.) Add to blender 2-3 apples at a time.  If you have a beefy high-powered blender, then you can probably add the whole apple and not have a problem.  Mine's average consumer grade and struggled with just the three slices.  Use your judgement.

Add 1/2 cup Orange juice
Also add your 1/2 cup orange juice, so the apples have a liquid to blend into.

2.) Keep adding apples and blending until the mixture looks like baby food. ;)

Add 1/2 cup mixed berries

3.) Add 1/2 cup mixed berries and yogurt.

4.) Blend until creamy. If you prefer your smoothies more liquid add some water or juice until desired consistency.

The finished product
5.) Pour into a pretty glass, garnish, and enjoy through a straw - or however you like.

Notes:
You can always double the recipe and refrigerate to have a healthy snack later in the day.

This smoothie leans more on the sweet side rather than tart.  However, it also depends on the type of apple you choose.  A granny smith apple is going to make a more tart smoothie than a red delicious.

Cleanup is really fast and easy.  Right after pouring your smoothie into a glass, add a drop of soap to your blender, add some warm water, and just rinse it out.  No need to disassemble and scrub because the smoothie just slides right off.  If you let the fruity mixture dry, it will be a pain.
